Span-80 is a yellow oily liquid, which can be dispersed in warm water and ethanol, dissolved in propylene glycol, liquid paraffin, ethanol, methanol or ethyl acetate and other organic solvents, HLB=4.3, and is commonly used as an emulsifier for water in oil emulsions.
