Hydrogen bromide (chemical formula: HBr) is an aqueous solution of hydrogen bromide, slightly fuming. Molecular weight 80.92, gas relative density (air=1) 3.5; Liquid relative density 2.77 (- 67 ºC); HBr47% aqueous solution 1.49. Melting point - 88.5 ºC, boiling point - 67.0 ºC. It is easily soluble in organic solvents such as chlorobenzene and diethyloxymethane.
