Cyclohexanone is a colorless and transparent oily liquid at room temperature with an earthy smell, and when it contains traces of phenols, it has a minty smell. Impurity is light yellow, and it develops color as impurities are generated during storage time. It is water-white to gray-yellow, and has a strong pungent odor. Slightly soluble in water, miscible with most organic solvents.

Application

1. It is a raw material for producing caprolactam and adipic acid, used as a solvent and diluent for paints, inks,

synthetic resins, synthetic rubbers, and also as a leather degreaser.
